Henry says AI. But I think "Pumpkin" was worse than AI (though AI was pretty bad). A lot of people like "Virgin Suicides," but I really thought that sucked ass as well.
One movies that was so bad that it was good is "Edward Penishands."

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Mon, January 26, 2004 - 8:42 PMIt was this movie with Heather Graham and Joseph Finnes called Killing Me Softly--it did. Actually, it was so bad it was good.
Worst performance: Sofia Coppela in Godfather III. Why oh why when I and II were so good? -

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Mon, March 15, 2004 - 5:28 PMWell Sophia is getting better with "Lost in translation". The worst movies I have ever seen are "The Trouble Every Day" (French Film) and "Mulholland Drive" -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:15 PMyeah--mulholland drive sucked, and i generally like david lynch movies. maybe it's because i don't smoke pot anymore, and that was the only way i could begin to comprehend his movies.
pumpkin was about the worst movie i'd ever seen! -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:21 PMWhat might be worse is The Trouble Everyday which is about sexual cannibalism. It is with Vincent Gallo of "Brown Bunny" fame. Which is a bad movie in its own rite. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:29 PMsexual cannibalism, eh? how could that be bad? you actually make me want to see it. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:32 PMWell if you like that kinda thing, be my guest. It is so poorly structured and it comes across like a zombie flick without zombies yet you feel like you are becoming one for having watched as it sucked out any intelligence you had. -
-
This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:37 PMwell, when you put it that way...speaking of zombie flicks, did you see peter jackson's "dead alive"? now that was an excellent movie! you can definitely see the influence of that movie in the big, glossy LOTR films. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:41 PMNo I haven't is it any good? I love zombie flicks. I watched the first 10 minutes of the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" on the USA Network. It looks so bad it's good. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:43 PMi actually think it's pj's best, and without the splashy budget. definitely check it out--a true classic. and let me know what you think.

-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 2:03 PMyeah--you don't need cable here to see titty! and when ms. jackson was flashing hers, they didn't blur out the nip whenever they reported on it millions of times!
i'm an american transplant who is learning the beauty of canada, but i have to go back to my censored network channels next year...sigh. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Fri, January 7, 2005 - 11:24 AMWhat is the criteria?
Should the movie be one that I've seen in a cinema, or would some horrendo piece of nastiness burbling up from the swamp of late-night cheese-swamp TV sludge qualify?
I've seen some movies on cable and that people have rented that made me want to gouge my eyes out, they were so bad.
And I've seen some dreck at the cinema that made me want to go and live in a cave and never set foot in a multiplex again. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, January 25, 2005 - 9:20 PMpumpkin is a really bad movie.
napoleon dynamite was a stinkbomb.

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Sat, April 2, 2005 - 1:08 PMI rented a Movie called Lawn Dogs that was so bad I kept having to re-wind it to see the crappy part that I missed because I was laughing at the previous crappy part. It was not a comedy. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Mon, April 4, 2005 - 11:42 AMFunny, Lawn Dogs has a 7.4/10 rating in IMDB, which makes it a bit of a hit.
But some movies that I've really hated have been really popular, too.
For instance, I despised the movie Team America: World Police with nearly every fibre of my being. I mean, I walked out of the cinema wanting to drive out to California and smack both those guys in the face with turd pies, that movie was so bad. And it was bad on so many levels. And yet that movie was a critical favorite, and overwhelmingly popular.
I hated The Royal Tenenbaums. There was one part of it that I chuckled at for three seconds, and the rest of the time I wanted to leave the cinema. And again, another darling of the critics it was.
I didn't like Lost in Translation at all. Absolutely not funny in any way, and not in any way engaging. It was an okay movie, I thought, not worth the money or time to see, but I didn't resent it that much. But the critics raved. The academy awarded the scriptwriter. I was, like, "Whaaaaaaa?"
Oh, and here's one... Closer. Oh, dear God, I absolutely wanted to leave the cinema ten minutes into that movie. Oh, my God, that was the longest two hours of my life. I've had more pleasant trips to the dentist. That was two hours of gruelling, unrelenting, cinematic hell. I just kept wishing the characters would die or get really, really sick or something. Top it all off with the fact that I hate Natalie Portman with the white hot passion of a thouand burning suns. She is the worst actress that has ever worked in Hollywood, ever. Honestly, Natalie Portman makes Traci Lords look like Catherine Hepburn. And somehow, as if she's cast some spell over Tinseltown, she's considered not only good but excellent. Her wooden, monotone, community-theatre-level performances earn her Oscar nominations, while genuine talents like Paul Giamatti are passed over. Not that I'm bitter. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Mon, April 4, 2005 - 4:39 PMThat is because I made a mistake and the movie that was so painfully bad was DogTown not Lawn Dogs. Lawn Dogs as OK, but DogTown (not to be confused with Dog Town and Z Boys) was truly truly bad to the point where I'd almost rent it again just to laugh. -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, April 5, 2005 - 1:10 PMWas that the one with Nicole Kidman? -
-
Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Tue, April 5, 2005 - 2:50 PMNo it was with Mary Stuart Masterson. Really crap movie -

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Sat, May 27, 2006 - 3:35 PMHi all; I'm new to the board, and I'm not sure what the qualifications are, but 'Blood Freak' is, by far, the worst movie I've ever seen...and I've seen quite a few movies! Christian, anti-drug propaganda from the '70s. Who knew?!?

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Wed, May 31, 2006 - 1:30 AMHello, just joined too (Walter, I SWEAR I'm not stalking you, I'm just avoiding the lawn-mowing - Lawn-mower Man 2 is actually a good answer for this question), and here are my nominations:
I Do (But I Don't) - a t.v. thing with Denise Richards. awful.
The Time Machine
Shaft remake
and pretty much anything starring Steven Seagal
And one I wanted to like because it had the right ingredients (interesting premise, compelling scenery, decent actors: Derek Jacobi, Olivia Williams, Jason Flemyng - and a name: Antonio Banderas) but really didn't: The Body -

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Mon, September 11, 2006 - 5:00 AMThat a tough one. I have seen a great many very bad movies over the years. I am something of a bad movie buff or maybe a masochist.
Sci-Fi channel has released several contenders. Most of them fall into the terrible horror movie category. Boa vs Python on-upped the other silly giant snake movies like Anaconda by having two giant snakes that fight each other. Some of their stuff, like Mansquito or Frankenfish, have to be seen to be believed. Here's the promo for their next gem.
www.scifi.com/kraken/
Legend of the Chupacabra was pretty terrible even for a low budget horror film. Books of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 is not only terrible but has nothing at all to do with the movie it is supposedly a sequel for. Going for an MST3K movie feels kind of like cheating but Manos: the Hands of Fate was pretty painful to watch without the comments.
The Lonely Lady with Pia Zadora is one of the worst movies I have ever seen as well as being one of the most offensive and I have seen Dracula 3000.
Dracula 3000 is really, really bad.
I could do more but that's enough.

Re: what was the worst movie you ever saw?
Mon, January 8, 2007 - 2:48 PMHi, new here. One movie I saw that was just incomprehensible was Bully, which was about a bunch of kids killing a guy who had picked on them.. I can't belive that the people in the movie willingly went along with things that happened in that movie. Excorsist 2, the heretic springs immeadiately to mind, god it was awful. Texas chainsaw Massacre: the next generation was sooooooo terrible! Bram Stoker's the Mummy should be avoided at all costs. there was one movie I saw simply called Ape, which features a guy in a really bad gorilla suit ( suposedly the ape is gigantic) and at one point he is in what appears to be kiddie pool surounded by little toy boats and oversized leggo pieces.......
